Designed by NovaSolo, the Halifax Accent collection is known as one of our sell-out ranges. Therefore we added one more finish to the family, and that’ the Halifax Accent. Working the exact same design credentials as its partner collections – a solid mahogany frame and meticulous traditional detailing to name two – we’ve exposed its wooden top surface and treated it with a deep and dark wood stain that bounces the light. The paintwork is slightly distressed so it captures an amazing pre-loved vibe. The materials and processes involved in the creation of our handcrafted furnishings create a level of quality and uniqueness that can be appreciated in each individual product. The beauty and individual variations in the natural materials used, paired with the hand applications of our finishing techniques, create a warmth and comfort that cannot be replicated by machines.
- Curated Material Selection - In order to produce a long-lasting durable product to be enjoyed for years to come, we carefully selected and combined our materials in our designs. Therefore the finish may appear slightly different depending on the natural characteristics of the surface and the orientation of the underlying material.
Embracing Natural Materials - We embrace the natural properties of the materials used. Due to its grain, colour, and texture, each piece of wood is completely unique and cannot be replicated. The finish will show the natural unique textures of the underlying materials. To compensate for the natural shrinkage and expansion properties of the wood materials, small gaps at joints are left intentionally during assembly & finishing.
Individual Craftsmanship - Every single one of our products are hand-finished by skilled craftsmen. This personal yet professional touch, combined with the natural characteristics of the materials used, create a one-of-a-kind product. There are slight variations in the finish – these are not considered product defects.

- Fully Assembled Product - This product ships fully assembled so you can enjoy it as soon as it arrives at your home.
- White Distress Finish - The white distress finish uses a three-layer application of the semi-gloss white paint which is then hand-sanded along the edges, contours and grooves, to expose the original wood and create a purposefully aged look.
- Deep Brown Finish - A deep reddish-brown stain that dries to a semi-gloss finish just light enough to allow the natural grains of the wood to peek through. This finish will appear darker around the edges of the molding and in the corners adding substance and depth. The brown pairs harmoniously with white surfaces, as seen in the Accent Collections.

Really pleased with the final outcome, but the journey wasn’t all plain sailing… Two of the vertical struts were different to the ones in the instructions, but worked in the same position so no harm there. Just an extra 20 minutes working out what was different. I put it together on my own, but would recommend two to make life easier. There are lots of small parts (screws etc) so make sure you don’t loose any (although there are a few extra of some parts). Some of the wall panels fit together better than others, but there’s a little tolerance built in to allow for this. Take extra care fitting the doors if you want them level and opening smoothly. A couple of door hooks or door restrainers would help stop them blowing about in the wind (they’re quite light). Also a bolt on the non locking door would help keep it in place if you only need to access the shed via a single door. I’ve retro fitted my own so it works as I want.
